FOOD
Lunches and evening meals are available at the Fox and Hounds in Cattistock,
and at the Chalk and Cheese in Maiden Newton, a mile away, which also
boasts an excellent Fish and Chips takeaway open in the evenings.
There is a village shop and Post
Office in Cattistock which sells groceries (and many other things
besides).
In addition there are many good restaurants in the wider area offering
seasonal, locally sourced food - such as the renowned
Wild Garlic in
Beaminster which is 20 minutes away, and the Michelin-starred Siena in

Cattistock
Bun House
Bun House is in the centre of Cattistock next to the Post Office, and
originally comprised two cottages, one of which used to be the village
bakery. Essentially Georgian in character, this comfortable house offers a
home from home and an excellent central base from which to explore the
county before returning for a good night's rest. We cook hearty breakfasts
using local produce wherever possible.

Cerne Abbas –
approx 5 miles from Cattistock
Giant's Head Camping and Caravanning Park
A peaceful, rural park with exceptional views of Dorset Downs and
Blackmore Vale, near the ancient village of Cerne Abbas where the
180 foot high figure of the Cerne man is carved into the hillside.
It is a well drained site of three and a half acres with a good, hard
