The Mythic Imagination - talks, trails and mysteries

West Dorset is designated an AONB - an area of outstanding natural beauty - and Cattistock is one of the lovelist - and liveliest - villages in it. Though small and compact it has a shop/Post Office selling everything from potatoes to penknives; also a pub, cricket pitch, football pitch, historic church, sacred well, tennis courts and plenty of wild walks on lanes and cross-country footpaths. It lies at the foot of Castle Hill, a site of prehistoric and Roman occupation and a superb viewing point over the village and the Frome Valley.  More info...
The venue for the weekend of 11-13 October 2019 is c/o Mrs Penny Rogers, The Lodge Cottage, Cattistock, Dorset DT2 0JL Telephone 01300 320392
It is a rambling white country house on the edge of the village, with Scots pines in front of it. There is plenty of parking.
If you are approaching from the Maiden Newton direction it is the second house on the left, just before St Helen's Lane and the cricket pitch. If you are approaching from the A37 go right through the village and it is on the right, after the cricket pitch, just on the other side of St Helen's Lane.
Mrs Rogers also provides B&B accommodation, details on the Accommodation page.
