| West Dorset is designated an AONB - an area of outstanding natural beauty - and Cattistock is one of the lovelist - and liveliest - villages in it. Though small and compact it has a shop/Post Office selling everything from potatoes to penknives; also a pub, cricket pitch, football pitch, historic church, sacred well, tennis courts and plenty of wild walks on lanes and cross-country footpaths.
